Thanks to those who regularly play the Zebra Lotto, SHIRETRUST has substantially increased its income enabling it to take a full and active part in the new direction in which our club is going. We have purchased mowers, equipment, and even helped to buy a player!

At the last AGM of the Trust, and as reported to lotto players previously by letter we promised to review the Zebra Lottery after our provider Stenhousemuir had reported that Div 1 Partick Thistle was to withdraw its 2000 plus lotto players and go it alone. The immediate effect was to see a reduction of the prize money to our players and initially we as a committee decided to give it some time to see how it worked out.

It has become apparent that the 'Goldline lottery' supplied by Stenhousemuir offering a top prize of only £250 was not giving our players value in prizes and odds.

To that end we have made extensive enquiries with other Lottery providers and have taken the decision to stop our scheme with Stenhousemuir and go with an excellent provider in UNITY who are well respected and used by many organisations and clubs. They also offer many ways to pay for players including by cheque which is preferred by many. The best news is that the odds are better and offer a top prize of a whooping £25000 a week as well as other numerous cash prizes! The other change is that your money will be split 50-50 between Unity and shiretrust (it used to be 40-60) but the prize structure is much better for players and it is easier for the trust to run.

1. Obtain, from a shiretrust office bearer an Application form and fill it in then post it to the address on the form (FREEPOST). (Note that where it says on the form that "50% of takings comes directly to us as profit", this means that 50% comes directly to shiretust the other 50% pays the prizes, costs and Unity's profit.)

2. If you pay by Standing Order please stop your payments by contacting your bank at your earliest convenience.

3. If you have paid by cheque any refund will be returned to you via our Treasurer in due course.

You may be aware that the club has also just introduced a new lottery (Shire Sweepy) which basically offers the same deal with prizes and odds as our old provider Goldline from Stenhousemuir. We are making you aware of this fact but trust that you will see the better deal offered by SHIRETRUST with Unity as provider. We are not asking you NOT to take out a Shire Sweepy lottery and if you wish to do so, please do. Some of our current players are doing both, but your odds and prizes are far better with SHIRETRUST and we will continue to ensure you as a player get the best and fairest deal.
